Out with the Old, In with the Safe
Blunt’s Electrical recently carried out a major switchboard upgrade for a local Melbourne church. The original installation relied on an aged fuse board, which no longer met modern electrical safety requirements and posed reliability risks for the building’s power supply.
Our team completely replaced it with a new, custom-built circuit breaker board with full RCD (safety switch) protection.
This ensures that any fault in the system now trips instantly - keeping the electrical network, equipment, and building occupants safe.
What the Upgrade Involved
The project involved:

During the process, several hidden faults were discovered - something that’s quite common when older switchboards are upgraded. The new RCD protection helped detect wiring issues that old fuses never revealed, allowing us to repair them and ensure full electrical integrity.
