About Our Oven Installation

Most oven installations involve safely disconnecting the existing oven, checking the electrical supply, fitting the new customer-supplied oven, connecting it correctly, and testing it before we leave.

We install common domestic electric ovens, including built-in ovens and replacement wall ovens, depending on the existing wiring, circuit capacity, appliance rating, cabinetry opening and manufacturer requirements.

We generally do not supply appliances, but we can install suitable customer-supplied ovens and advise if the electrical side of the installation needs extra work.

Your Oven Installation Options

Replace An Existing Oven

If your old oven is faulty, outdated or being upgraded, we can replace it with a suitable customer-supplied oven where the new model suits the existing space and electrical setup.

Install A New Oven

If you are installing an oven in a new location, we can assess the electrical requirements and advise what is involved. New installations may require additional wiring, circuit protection or switchboard work.

Customer-Supplied Ovens

We generally install customer-supplied ovens rather than supplying the appliance. This lets you choose the brand, size, style and features that suit your kitchen.

Before booking, it helps to have the make and model available so we can check the appliance rating, connection requirements and whether the new oven is likely to suit the existing space.

Ovens We Install

Built-In Ovens

Installation and replacement of common built-in electric ovens.

Wall Ovens

Replacement wall oven installation where the appliance and opening are suitable.

Replacement Ovens

Safe disconnection of the old oven and connection of the new unit.

Dedicated Oven Circuits

Wiring, circuit checks and protection upgrades where required.

Our Process

We keep oven installations practical and clear. The exact scope depends on the existing oven, the new appliance, the cabinetry, circuit capacity and available power.

Typical installation includes:

Check the existing oven and confirm the installation setup

Safely isolate power before disconnecting the existing unit

Remove or disconnect the old oven where suitable

Check the circuit and connection requirements for the new appliance

Fit the new customer-supplied oven to the existing location where compatible

Connect the oven electrically to the suitable supply

Test operation and confirm safe operation before we leave

Clean up the work area and leave the kitchen tidy

Cabinetry changes, plastering, tiling and appliance supply are not included unless specifically arranged.

Important Things To Check

Does The New Oven Fit?

The new oven needs to suit the existing opening, cupboard space and mounting arrangement. If the new appliance is a different size, cabinetry changes may be required by others.

Is The Existing Circuit Suitable?

Some replacement ovens can use the existing supply, but larger or higher-rated ovens may require wiring changes, circuit upgrades or switchboard work.

Is The Oven Hardwired Or Plug-In?

Many ovens require fixed wiring by a licensed electrician. Some smaller units may use a plug-in connection, depending on the appliance and existing setup.

Do You Have The Manual?

The manufacturer’s installation manual helps confirm clearances, fixing requirements, electrical rating and connection details for the specific oven model.

Other Kitchen Appliance Installation

If you are upgrading your kitchen, we can also help with cooktop installation and rangehood installation. These pages are kept separate so the information matches the appliance you need installed.

For most kitchen appliance jobs, customers supply the appliance and we complete the electrical installation, connection, testing and safety checks where suitable.
