Security isn't actually new for us. Electronic security was part of Blunt's from the very beginning in 1993, and we've been installing security systems ever since.

Alister Blunt with an EDM 908 from 1994, one of the first security panels he installed. He's kept this one all these years for sentimental reasons — it's survived 30 years, several office clean-outs and every suggestion that it might be time to throw it out.

In that time, there haven't been many products that have genuinely changed what a security system can do. Ajax is one we're particularly excited about and very happy to put the Blunt's name behind.

IT'S NOT JUST AN ALARM
WITH AN APP.

A smart doorbell on its own is useful. With Ajax, the doorbell can form part of the actual security system, alongside your alarm, cameras and detectors.

Even the humble movement detector has had an upgrade. Selected Ajax detectors include a camera for photo verification. If the alarm is triggered, the system can send you a series of photos so you can see what actually caused it.

It's this level of integration — while still being simple to use from your phone — that makes Ajax very different from the systems we've worked with over the years.

Yes. Authorised users can use the Ajax app to interact with the security system, including arming and disarming it, checking its status and receiving security notifications.

Is Ajax wireless?

Ajax has a large range of wireless security devices that communicate with an Ajax hub. This can make Ajax particularly useful for existing homes and businesses where running new cabling throughout the property may be undesirable.

Can Ajax include cameras and a video doorbell?

Yes. Compatible Ajax cameras and video doorbell products can form part of the wider Ajax security platform, allowing alarm and video security features to work together rather than as completely separate systems.

What is photo verification?
