Before we attend

Proper electrical quotes need a proper assessment.

We want to give you a real quote, not a rough guess that changes once the job starts. That means allowing time for a licensed electrician to inspect the work properly.

A site visit takes time, travel, experience and care — and we believe that should be handled upfront.

Like many trade businesses, we offered free quotes for years. The problem is that “free” quotes are not really free. The cost is either absorbed by the business or built into job pricing somewhere else.

We think it is better to be clear. When a job needs an electrician to attend your property, inspect the work and prepare a proper quote, we charge a $89 inc. GST site assessment fee.

How the fee works

The $89 fee covers the site visit, assessment and preparation of your quote. If you proceed with the quoted work, the full $89 is deducted from your invoice. If you choose not to proceed, you have still fairly paid for the electrician’s time and advice.

This helps us prioritise customers who are ready for proper advice and a properly scoped quote, while keeping our pricing more transparent for the people who do go ahead.

  • Phone enquiries are still free — we are happy to discuss your job before booking a visit.
  • The fee only applies when we attend — it is for site visits that require inspection and quoting.
  • The fee comes off your invoice — if the quoted work proceeds, the $89 is deducted in full.
  • You receive a proper written quote — based on what is actually required, not guesswork.
  • It supports fair use of our electricians’ time — especially for detailed or uncertain jobs.
